Recipe Notes:

  • Use gluten-free self-raising flour mix If you’d like to make gluten-free biscuits.
  • Cold butter in your biscuit mixture will produce the best soft and fluffy biscuits. Simply cut the butter into cubes and place them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes prior to use.
  • It’s important to fold the dough according to the recipe directions, as this process creates flaky layers in the biscuits.
  • Be sure not to twist the biscuit cutter, as this can seal the edges of the biscuits and prevent them from rising.

CAN I FREEZE CHICK-FIL-A BISCUITS?

Yes, you can freeze these biscuits. Make sure that you allow the biscuits to cool completely before you freeze them – this ensures that excess moisture isn’t trapped inside of them once frozen; otherwise, they can become dense when thawed at a later stage.

Once cooled, wrap each biscuit tightly in plastic or foil and store them in an airtight container or freezer bag. These biscuits will freeze well for 2-3 months.

To reheat from frozen, transfer your frozen biscuits to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in your oven at 350℉ for 15-20 minutes. To prevent the biscuits from over-browning, lay a sheet of foil over the frozen biscuits. When the biscuits are soft and warm throughout the center, they are ready to be enjoyed. You can also reheat your biscuits in the microwave if you prefer.
