How to make Caramel Tres Leches Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
  • all-purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • granulated sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • eggs
  • For the Three-Milk Mixture
  • whole milk
  • condensed milk
  • buttermilk
  • dulce de leche
  • vanilla extract
  • For the Topping
  •  heavy cream
  • dulce de leche
  1. Star by Preheating your  oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 X 13 baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.Mxing flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl
  3. Using an electric or hand mixer, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla extract until very pale and creamy. Periodically scrape down the sides of the bowl.Mixing together butter, sugar, and vanilla
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Reduce the mixer speed to low and gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. Transfer the cake batter to the prepared baking dish.  Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan.Cake batter in baking sheet

  8. Using a a knife or the back side of a mixing spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake.

  10. Place the cream in a large bowl along with 1 Tablespoon of dulce de leche and whip with hand or stand mixture until peaks form.

  • 3/4 TSP salt
  • 12 TBSP unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 C granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 TSP vanilla extract
  • 5 eggs
  • For the Three-Milk Mixture
  • 2 C whole milk
  • 1 C sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 C buttermilk
  • 1/3 C dulce de leche
  • 1 1/2 TSP vanilla extract
  • For the Topping
  • 2 C heavy cream
  • 1/3 C dulce de leche Plus 1 TB divided
