Slow Cooker Beer Brats
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown the brats in the skillet to sear the outsides. Transfer brats to the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
- Add remaining butter to your skillet along with the sliced onions. Saute until onions become caramelized.
- Place the onions over the top of the brats in the slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and pour the beer around the brats.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 2-3 hours, until the brats are cooked through.
- Serve immediately on toasted hoagie rolls or keep on warm until ready to serve, enjoy!
