Homemade Baked Potato Skins

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Wash the potatoes under running water; pat  dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet. Using a fork, poke each potato  several times all over. Lightly rub oil on the potatoes and sprinkle with some salt.  Place on a baking sheet.  oils rubbed on potatoes on a baking sheet
  2. Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour, or until they’re easily pierced with a fork. Remove  from the oven; let cool.  potatoes cut in half

  • 4 medium sized potatoes
  • Salt for sprinkling
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions diced, optional
  • Sour cream optional
