RECIPE TIPS
- You can use the ingredients I’ve suggested for your charcuterie board or feel free to add different ingredients that still stick to the red-white-blue theme.
- While I’ve included a mix of sweet and savory snacks to my board, you can definitely opt for an all-savory or all-sweet snack board like my Easy Flag Fruit Dessert.
- If you want to jazz up your strawberries, consider dipping them into white chocolate with blue sanding sugar like I’ve done with these Red White & Blue Chocolate Covered Strawberries.
- If you have any spaces on your board between your ingredients but don’t want to add additional food, consider adding some non-food space fillers such as decorative toothpicks in a shot glass, edible flowers (just in case someone does experiment with those!), or some cute mini paper napkins.

WHAT IS A CHARCUTERIE BOARD?
- The term “charcuterie” is French and essentially refers to a mix of meats, cheeses, artisan breads, fruit and nuts, that are placed with decorative flare on a serving plate/board as a delicious assortment of appetizer snacks!
- This charcuterie board has been assembled specifically for 4th of July celebrations which are right around the corner. The combination of red, blue, and white appetizer ingredients makes this board pop with bright color contrasts and screams “party time!”.
CAN I MAKE THIS RED WHITE BLUE CHARCUTERIE BOARD AHEAD OF TIME?
- Yes, you can! Most charcuterie boards can be assembled and stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours at the most before you intend to serve it.
- To store your assembled board, make sure that you wrap it tightly (without messing up the ingredients) with plastic wrap to prevent your ingredients from drying out
