Instant Pot Chili Dog Sauce
Give your hot dogs, tater tots and/or fries a major overhaul by topping them with this irresistible Instant Pot Chili Dog Sauce!
You can instantly make dinner exciting again by sparing 15 minutes of your time to prepare this chili dog sauce while the Instant Pot does the rest. Top your chili dogs with caramelized onions, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon!
You can store leftover chili dog sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze it for up to 3 months.
It’s totally normal for the sauce to thicken while it sits in storage. If that happens, stir in some water or ketchup to loosen it while you reheat the sauce in a saucepan on the stovetop.
Definitely! Brown the ground chuck and cook the onions in a skillet or thick pan as you would using the Instant Pot. Once all of the ingredients are incorporated, allow the sauce to simmer on the stovetop for about 20 minutes, stirring often.
While chili dog sauce is often enjoyed over hot dogs in fresh buns, you could also enjoy it over fries, on burgers, and over tater tots.
