TIPS FOR THE PERFECT MEATBALL
- Avoid over mixing your meatball mixture to ensure you get tender meatballs.
- If you swap out the ground beef for ground turkey to make turkey meatballs then including 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning to the mix will be a great flavor addition for your turkey meatballs.
- Never over crowd your air fryer basket. If you need to, rather cook in two batches so that the meatballs get cooked evenly.
Air Fryer Meatballs
- Mix all ingredients together until well combined, let rest for 10 minutes.
- Roll either 1-inch or 2-inch sized meatballs, depending on how you want to serve them, and place in a single layer in the air fryer, without them touching. Do so in batches if necessary.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes. Cook meatballs at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes for 1-inch meatballs and 15 minutes for 2-inch meatballs, shake basket every 5 minutes for even cooking. Cook times can vary some, I recommend checking at 8 and 12 minutes respectively.
CAN YOU FREEZE AIR FRYER MEATBALLS?
- You definitely can freeze these Air Fryer Meatballs. Cook them as directed above and then once they have completely cooled you can place them on a baking sheet to freeze until solid. Once frozen solid, transfer them into an airtight container or freezer bag and store in your freezer for up to 3 months.
- When you are ready to use them in a meal, thaw them and then place them into the air fryer for approximately 5 minutes or you can bake them to warm them up slowly. You can even use your slow cooker to warm them up.
