Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 16 ounce box uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large (15 inch) skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, crumbling as it cooks, until no pick remains. Drain well and return to the skillet.
  • To the skillet, add the elbow macaroni, broth, milk, ketchup, seasoning, mustard, and onion powder. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and cook while stirring often for 10 to 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in the cheese until melted and serve immediately.

Notes

Notes: I used a 15 inch skillet to prepare this recipe. A dutch oven could also be used or the recipe can be halved to cook in a 12 inch skillet.
