How to Store Homemade Pizza Dough
Refrigerator: Pizza dough can be made 2–3 days ahead of time. After the dough has risen, place it in a lightly oiled, covered container or wrap it well in plastic wrap. Keep it refrigerated until you're ready to use it. Remove the dough from the refrigerator about 1 hour before making your pizza so it can come to room temperature.Freezer: Homemade pizza dough freezes well for up to 3 months. Divide the dough into pizza-sized portions, shape them into balls, and wrap each one tightly before placing them in a freezer-safe bag.Thawing: Transfer frozen pizza dough to the refrigerator overnight to thaw. Let it sit at room temperature for about an hour before rolling it out.
