Easy Beef And Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 ½ lb beef steak sliced in small strips against the grain
  • ½ onion sliced fine
  • 1 container mushrooms sliced
  • 12 oz broccoli florets fresh

Sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • dash dried chili flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a large pan, heat the oil to hot. Add the beef and sear the beef to the point that it’s almost cooked.
  • Add the mushrooms and onions to the beef and saute over medium- high heat, quickly till the mushrooms begin to soften and caramelize, and the onions are getting soft.
  • Next, make the sauce by adding the soy sauce, broth, sugar, chili flakes, garlic, ginger and cornstarch together. Add the broccoli and sauce to pan.
  • Mix and continue to cook until broccoli softens to your liking.
  • Take it off the heat and serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
